| A bit of fun from Winter Park |

When you’re in Winter Park, pick up a copy of the Winter Park Manifest / Daily Tribune. It often has some fun articles, such as the one from Wednesday, April 4, 2007 that reported the results of “extremely unimportant”, “random questions” asked of locals and tourists. Here are a few of my favorites: When the Manifest asked locals, “What’s the dumbest thing you’ve ever heard a tourist ask you?” One local was asked, “Do the lifts stop when it snows?” Another local remembers a tourist commenting, “I went on a snowcat tour and didn’t see any cats!” And as one local tells it, “this group was in here (a local restaurant) having dinner, and when they got the check, someone yelled out, ‘Holy sh*t! Who the he** ordered all the gratuity?’” Enjoy! |
